Leofoto & NiSi
Landscape, Fortrait, Fine Art
Richard has been photographing since he was eight years old, and when he was twelve he bought his first analogue SLR camera and started to capture nature. First he shot birds, and later he added landscapes and mammals.
Especially the first and last few hours of daylight are his favourite hours, especially when you can capture the special behaviour of animals and/or have special light and beautiful clouds in landscapes. Richard prefers to wait for a long time near an animal or place for the right light for a unique photo, then to settle for a quick 'snapshot' and move on to the next subject.
During his many travels around the world, he has visited both the tropical Amazon rainforest and the polar region. And it is precisely the polar region in autumn that is his favourite.
Richard gives photography lectures; he organises photo trips, and he gives photography workshops for animal and landscape photography in Europe.
I used to shoot with a different filter brand and then discovered the NiSi brand. This was because I always make comparisons and look for differences, so that I can improve my images. With the other brand I had a small blue cast, especially at slow shutter speeds, which NiSi does not have.
Furthermore, the glass filters give a sharper and more beautiful image than filters made of scratchy resin.
On top of that, NiSi is much quicker to come up with solutions when a new special lens comes onto the market. They also listen to the photographer's wishes when developing new products.
